WordPress Platform, Navigation UX & Content Operations
The Challenge
Over a four-month engagement, led a series of WordPress improvements for AiRISTA spanning navigation UX, content operations, and site quality. The headline deliverable was a custom navigation overhaul shipped as a dedicated WordPress plugin: a redesigned, editable site nav with branded assets, search, mega-menu behavior, and a significantly improved mobile experience. Around that, built and extended custom tooling for content migration and resource publishing—audit exports, metadata review workflows, and a resource sync pipeline that structured and scaled resource content more reliably.
The System Constraint
AiRISTA's navigation and content operations were holding the marketing team back. The existing nav was hard to edit and weak on mobile, resource content lacked a reliable way to scale and stay structured, and quality issues like broken links and inconsistent content structure went unaudited. The team needed editable, branded systems they could own—not one-off theme hacks.
The Approach
- Designed and launched a custom WordPress navigation plugin with editable settings, branded UI, search, mega-menu behavior, and mobile-first refinements
- Built and extended custom WordPress tooling for content migration, metadata review, and resource publishing workflows
- Developed a custom resource sync pipeline and front-end resource templates to improve content management and presentation at scale
- Improved site usability and quality through navigation UX iteration, 404 auditing, content audits, and supporting security review work
The Measurable Impact
- Shipped a custom navigation plugin the marketing team can configure themselves—no developer required for nav changes
- Mega-menu, search, and a redesigned mobile nav delivered through multiple rounds of interaction-design refinement
- A resource sync pipeline and front-end templates that made resource content reliable to manage and present at scale
- Site-quality lift through 404 auditing, content-structure analysis, and web form security review materials
