The Attribution Problem Isn't a Measurement Problem
Most marketing teams treat attribution as a technical challenge. They invest in better tracking, add more UTMs, argue over last-click vs. data-driven models, and eventually graduate to multi-touch attribution platforms that promise to finally crack the code.
They never do.

Before any budget decision, ask three questions rather than debating models:
What behavior are you trying to understand? Acquisition, nurture, and expansion are different problems requiring different lenses. A single model applied across all three will mislead you somewhere.
What is the cost of being wrong? If you are deciding between pausing a $5k/month campaign versus a $200k/month one, the bar for confidence should be very different. Match your measurement sophistication to the stakes of the decision.
What would change your mind? If no amount of data would cause you to reallocate budget away from a particular channel, you do not have an attribution problem. You have a politics problem, and no analytics tool solves that.
